Whether a member of Bachelor Nation or not, there are plenty of reasons to go to La Quinta Resort & Club, here are just five of them:
1. Cozy Old Hollywood Style Casitas Offer Modern Day Social Distancing
My family might be relatively recent additions to Bachelor Nation, but we have been La Quinta Resort & Club fans for decades. With casitas, suites and villas spread out over 45 scenic acres, you and your family or friends will be able to easily create your own Covid bubble. 41 pools are located throughout the resort – another perfect way to socially distance yourself from other guests. Caveat: La Quinta may not have the most luxurious five star accommodations you’ve ever seen, but it has plenty of coziness, warm service, and privacy.
2. Easy Access To Covid Safe Outdoor Activities
If quarantine reminded you how much you loved tennis and golf, La Quinta has got you covered. As a resort guest, you can book tee times at three of the six courses at golf-mecca PGA West as well as La Quinta’s own Mountain and Dunes courses. With 21 tennis and 8 pickle ball courts, La Quinta is also a highly-ranked tennis resort. And our family loves to ride bikes around the large property (in fact it’s where my daughter Sophia learned to ride a bike!)
3. Take a Hike
The Coachella Valley and Palm Springs area are also ideal for my other favorite socially distant activity: hiking. Some of my personal favorites include the perfectly named Bump And Grind Loop and the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve, a/k/a a very cool portion of the San Andreas Fault (both are about a 20 minute drive from the resort; check re: possible Covid closings)
4. Dine Al Fresco
With little rain and a temperate climate for most of the year, the desert makes it easy to dine outdoors. The area offers a great dining scene, but you can also eat very well without ever leaving the resort. Twenty6 offers delicious breakfasts (don’t miss the freshly squeezed OJ) and great casual options for the entire family. Adobe Grill serves yummy mexican food (also good if you just want guac and margs). Although I have a long list of other local favorites, I’ll instead just add there is an In-N-Out within minutes of the resort (I’ll save my restaurant list for another post).
5. Doggie Heaven
The Bachelorette must have been thrilled when La Quinta made it easy for her to bring her two dogs with her while filming at the resort. In fact, if you are not a fan of dogs, this is maybe not the resort for you because dogs are EVERYWHERE. As a huge dog lover, that just makes me love La Quinta even more.
